About the Event

An event to kick off our season in Tamaki Makaurau/Auckland with the unveiling of the new game elements for VIQC and VRC, a presentation with the Auckland Regional Coordinators and National Manager, and then the chance to collaborate and begin building robots with a casual scrimmage!

Kiwibots team will be onsite from 8:30am and welcome any volunteers to come by early to help with set up. The day will kick off at 9:30am with a welcome from the Regional Coordinators and the National Manager.

We welcome all teams and members of the public who are interested in taking part in Kiwibots programmes to join us on this day. If you are interested in introducing the VEX Competition Programme or integrating it as a robotics tool in your curriculum, please join us and have a chat with the National Manager and the many knowledgeable teachers and parents who will be there to also share their experiences.

This event will be a mix of a build and scrimmage day, given many teams may not have had the opportunity yet to begin working on their robots together. We will have some spaces set up with VEX IQ kits for those who are interested in giving it a go to have a chance at building something with the support and guidance of other Kiwi kids who have been part of Kiwibots for some time.

There will be a fundraiser bake sale and sausage sizzle available for lunch (with drinks available too), and then a friendly scrimmage afterwards. Parking should be readily available and the Theatre is visible from the main carpark at the school.

Feel free to send through any of your questions to contact@kiwibots.co.nz and we can't wait to see you there!
